Hi, im looking for any possible way to bet on sports. I know there are the 2 casinos in joliet (harrahs, empress). I was just wondering if anyone knew if either have a sports book there.

Resolved Question: When playing hold’em poker in a casino, does the dealer announce the pot size?
I’ve played hold’em online, but not in a casino (yet). I was just wondering whether the dealer routinely announces what the pot size is after every bet, or if you are supposed to figure it out yourself from the chips that are visible on the table. Thanks!

They act like they care. You may see a sign gamble responsibiliy. But I see compulsive gambling every where. The greed hs gotten so bad that they scratch off are $20. Do they have $100 scratch off’s, they will soon. I see compulsive gambling at casino’s and off track betting. It really a shame that this society has so much gambling stacked against the sick, ( slots too ) compulsive gambler. They ruin families. I dont believe all the earnings from the lottery help the poor and elderly. I think it helps the greedy! If you here someone who says they can win gambling, consistantly. They will be broke soon. Happy Easter For all those who have no pity for the power of the illness of compulsive gambling. I dont think you have lived with one or know one. Of course people need to control themselves. But without support of other people, just like any other addiction, the addict get worse. I really think all who answered should get alittle emphathy. The compulsive gamblers is not resonable to he or she admits they have a problem. Most dont think they have a problem until they have blew everything, and you pay for them with you tax dollars. If we evacuated AC and Vegas, I would pour the gas and torch the casino’s. With their Fancy hotels lined in Blood money!

im not a big spender, i stay at the pennies machine usually, but im wanting to win and possibly bet a little more, but im staying the night and will only have about 100 dollars… just for fun, thought id ask
